HURRY, HURRY, HURRY… FREE ONLINE STORYTELLING SESSIONS FOR KEY STAGE 1 PUPILS

Join storyteller Liz Weir for tales of Irish magic, myth and legend.

Liz Weir is one of Ireland's best known storytellers who has told her stories to people of all ages on five continents. She has worked on stages in the mighty Vanderbilt Hall of New York’s Grand Central Station and in the Royal Albert Hall. Formerly Children's Librarian for the city of Belfast, she works extensively in schools and libraries and is Storyteller in Residence with Libraries NI.

Liz has written two collections of stories for children; ‘Boom Chicka Boom’ and ‘Here, There and Everywhere’ (O’Brien Press), and ‘When Dad Was Away’ (Frances Lincoln Books), a picture book based on her work in prisons.

This event is free to attend, but pre-booking is essential by reply to this email.

This event is suitable for children aged 4-7 years, and will take place via Zoom - a link will be sent to bookers in advance of the performance. The Zoom App can be downloaded for free on Windows, iOS, Android via zoom.us, App Store or Google Play

Storytelling with Liz Weir will take place on Friday 12 March from 11am – 12pm. Places are free and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

This City Chapter event is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.  The City Chapter is the partnership of all four libraries in Armagh.
