Pupil and Parent voice button

6th Oct 2025
This year in our school we are going to be placing extra focus on the voice of our pupils and parents.
We believe that we are all key stakeholders within our school and want to hear and respond meaningfully to what everyone has to say.

Everyone's opinion counts in our school.

Pupil voice is particularly important as Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) enshrines the right of all children and young people to say what they think should happen and to have their opinions taken into account when adults are making decisions that affect them.

In our school we already have a number of avenues that encourage pupil participation and we recognise the important contribution these can make in supporting pupils as key stakeholders and decision-makers
within our school.

This year we would like to extend these and a first step on this road is the addition of a pupil voice button on the front page of our website.

This button is a digital suggestion box and can be accessed by any of our pupils at anytime. They do not need to put their name in but can do so if they wish. It is a place where they can freely add suggestions on how we can make their school experience a better one. We would be very grateful if you could have a chat with your child especially the younger children and see if they have any ideas. The form can be filled in on their behalf.

We have also added a parent voice button which acts the same as the pupil voice button. This is a place where you as a parent can voice your suggestions that would make our school a better place for us all. Again you can fill this in without submitting your name. We would love to hear from as many parents as possible. Every suggestion is important and valuable.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
