Letter from the Principal

13th Apr 2022

25th April

Dear Parents and Carers

Another term nearly complete! And a chance for the children, families and staff to recharge and get set for a final frantic term.

We have been informed by ABC Policing and Community Partnership that the much awaited fencing works on the pathway running from the Portadown Road to the school commences on Monday 25th April.  This is day the children return to school after Easter.

The contractor has also confirmed that the underpass itself will remain open so children can still use it to get to school.  It would just be the pathway between the underpass and school that is then closed.  On coming out of the underpass if the children then turn right and then use the main footpath to walk to school that way they still have no roads to cross.  One of the community safety wardens, Michelle, will be there on the first morning and ABC are trying to get cover for some other mornings and afternoons also.  However, this cover cannot be relied upon so it is imperative that you make sure your children are safe on their journey to and from school.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter holiday break and see you back after the holidays on Monday 25th April.

Orla O’Dowd

Principal
