The Children's Symptom Checker is an online tool that parents can access at any time and which provides trusted advice to help them to make informed decisions about their children's health.
Developed by Belfast Trust's Paediatric Emergency and General Paediatric Teams, in consultation with Alder Hey Hospital and the Healthier Together Programme, the Children's Symptom Checker details those regular symptoms seen in the Emergency Department at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
We know that children regularly get sick, especially at this time of the year. And we also appreciate that it can be worrying for parents when they are unsure of the best course of action.
The Children's Symptom Checker is very easy to use, it is informative and provides high quality advice for parents or guardians to consider when their child becomes unwell. This ranges from coughs and colds through to burns and symptoms that are much more serious.
